Arto Koskinen and Petri Rossi began their co-operation during their studies at the University of Industrial Arts, Helsinki (UIAH), the department of motion picture, television and production design. Both of them have backgrounds in architecture, and fittingly their first production together was a documentary about the Hungarian architect Imre Makovec, Henkinen arkkitehtuuri (Spiritual architecture -1989).
In 1990 they made a 30-minute short film Sukellus. The film was later granted the State quality award, which enabled the founding of Indie Films Oy. Indie Films now continues its own life with comic artist Tomi Riionheimo.
Now the duo is ready to face new challenges with interesting projects. Their talents are supported by several cooperating professionals.
